Thread: How to remove firewall in Connect Primatel Model No. P100 ADSL2+ Modem

Hello Friends,
Please help me in removing firewall from Connect Primatel Model No. P100 ADSL2+ Modem. I am using Frostwire [P2P Software] and it says firewall detected and i am unable to download anything. Hoping positive response from my friends.
Advance thanks.

Disable Windows Firewall or
add this web site as exceptions.
ANy other Firewall application in use ? same as above or disable it.

The firewall in the modem . No details about this unit available. cable modem adsl Modem etc.

Windows Firewall is already disabled and no extra firewall application is installed.
Following is the WAN info in the modem:

confirm this is a Cable modem.
usually Firewall box may appear in NAT menu page.

If you had posted Device info, it would appear similar to Beetel 220BX.
The Firmware you have may be different and Firewall Box may not be available.

Enter in browser 192.168.1.1/look.html

As this modem is almost identical to Beetel 220BX series, with same hardware board your firmware seems older , and deactivating firewall option in the modem does not arise.
I am afraid, to suggest firmware update etc,as you have no other problems with the Primatel P100 modem.presume you are also not interested to find out the FW version .

Man! Its late... But i have managed to install latest Beetel Firmware on Primatel P100 Modem.. here is the screenshot. And one more thing, whenever i disable NAT then i am unable to surf net. Please advice me good settings for the modem to enjoy high download speeds from Limewire, Frostwire and Utorrent.

1. use only "Always On" PPP/PPpoe mode
( enter user Id/PW in wan page )

Advanced options
Under Nat Port triggering.
Check Portforward.com for Beetel 220 BX for you application.
for speed etc, try tcp optimizer from speedguide.net.

Now I am scared,!! to mention the link for the latest Firmware for Beetel 220BX.
Test for a week and check performance.
IF in Tools TR_069 client Box is enabled Uncheck it.
FW updates for this model: only cosmetic changes.
Latest one USB port has been disabled.110 BXI.

i found a way through telnet login .........
i went into management then update software .........in cmd
it asks me tftp server ip address ...........?
what is it guys n then file name

Reset the modem and try 192.168.1.1
user Id admin password admin or password.
For bsnl vpi vci 0 and 35.
You should read the full thread, and reported your problem.
members are hesitating to recommend FW updates,
for the reason you have specified.

Post screen shot as Anexure(jpg) Device Info. if available.
Beetel password default password can be changed.

The firmware will be older one.
Suggesting only to revive the modem, some how., if not working.
Post any error messages if you get any.

@Essbebe ~ Man! I am facing a wiered problem. I am getting two different settings on my router. Please check the attached pics.
Router settings with 192.168.1.1
Please note, Firewall is enabled in this setting

Please note Firewall is disable in this setting


Also, the speed of opening pages is really slow in the latest router Firmware update. It took almost 10-20 sec to open a page. Where is the problem ? And while in frostwire it still shows Firewall detected and i am getting slow download speeds

check the Box for firewall when you open 192.168.1.1 Is it enabled ?
could you access it ?

after doing above
check the BOX for firewall when you open 192.168.1.1/main.html
( In this position Advanced NAT settings will appearwhen in PPP/PPPoE mode )
Also type 192.168.1.1/look.html to confirm FW version.
We can try again a latest FW.


Speed etc are not going to improve by FW updates,
or by disabling firewall . Once a website is open F/W has allowed it.
Usually FW updates
extra menu items such as TR_069 client SNMP etc may appear.

Check the mod mode selected . change to Gdmt .
which browser you use ?
Also try google dns etc 8.8.8.8 and open dns . 208.67.220.220

check your speed here and give as annexure or insert.

1) I cant access Firewall checkbox in 192.168.1.1.
2) In 192.168.1.1/main.html, I can access Firewall box and it is unchecked and NAT is enabled. [As i have already told you if i disable NAT then i cant access internet]
