    Default USB problem

When i try to connect my pen drive to my USB in the front panel of my cabinet i get the following message--
"One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and windows doesn't recognize this".When i click this message i get a list of ports with one highlighted as unused port..
This port works fine with my game controller.
My pen drive works fine when i connect it to the backside ports..
    What has happened??

No nothing wrong with USB 1 or 2

Did you format your pen drive and try again ?
Can you open your pen drive inspite of the problem ?

May be the front port is faulty. Some companies provide low quality front ports with their cabinets. My friend bought a cabinet from frontech. His cpu's front usb port worked fine for few days. But now it can never recognize usb drive or portable hard drive. But bluetooth and game pad works fine in the same port.

You should first check device manager. If every thing is ok there.then try something new which can give you better.
