    Help

I am using Nero Vision to create a Video dvd .........i have managed to successfully create a video DVD ......
It asks me whether i want it to encode video in PAL or NTFS[Not sure...starts with N]
    Whats that ?

And for burning it uses 4gb of temporary space ..... unfortunately in my C drive i have only 1 Gb ...is there any way i can change the temporary destination folder from c drive to other drives

Error msg "there is not enough space available for recording process "
Then it shows an address whose destination is a temp folder ??

My original original destination is ofcourse an emty DVD......... nothing wrong with it ,,,

NTSC is a color TV standard developed in the U.S. in 1953 by the National Television System Committee. NTSC uses a Frame consisting of 486 horizontal lines in the Active Area and a Framerate of 29.97fps. The frame is interlaced, meaning it's composed of two individual fields (pictures) with a Fieldrate of 59.94fps. You can get more info here. NTSC

    We use Pal in India.

U can use anything shadow; i use ntsc myself. Plays good on my standalone player..

And one personal suggestion; use convertxtodvd v3. Very fast and light. Previously i used to use vision and the results were horrible unless i used double pass encoding. With convertx u dont need that, and the result is just perfect!!

For ripping (commercial) DVD, you can use SmartRipper.

Dvix/XVid are supported by latest DVD (standalone) players.

Also I need to point out about what is "good quality". DVD is MPEG2 video at the resolution of 720x480. A typical DVD movie of 2 hours has a size of 6 GB or so with AC3 sound.

When you convert the movie to XVid, the picture is converted to MPEG4-2 (H.263) and the resolution becomes 576x320 which is roughly 2/3rd of the original quality. This reduction in base frame size and coupled with the higher compression algorithm of MPEG4-2 allows the size reduction to 700 to 800 MB.

The XVid movie (including the aXXo) are good for viewing on computer or small screens up to 25", but as the resolution increases the pixelation becomes very apparent.

Axxo is an internet alias(that's as far as anyone knows). Uploads illegal DVD rips of movies to Bit Torrent networks. All of them have good seeds and have good quality and they all have a file size of 700-800.

There are others too. eg: AXXO, FXG, FXM, KLAXXON, NikonXP. etc

    Default About aXXo

aXXo is the Internet alias of an individual or group, allegedly harassed by Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) for infringing copyrights by converting commercial DVD movies into computer files that are then uploaded on the Internet for free download.[1] Due to the illegality of copyright infringement, aXXo's background is unknown, despite numerous attempts to uncover its real identity.

aXXo files are popular among the file sharing community using peer-to-peer file sharing protocols such as BitTorrent because aXXo produces files of comparatively small size and consistently high quality. This high quality results from aXXo's reliable synchronization using codec encoding programs to encode digital files. Because of aXXo's reputation for high quality, the aXXo name is faked as an identifying source by a variety of imitators.

    Yes, I specifically said MPEG4-2 (H.263) and not the latest MPEG4-10 (H.264).
