Default The Mega PC hardware Price List

Last update: 9th dec, 2008
Before I continue ahead, I am one of those few individuals who helped to keep tech2 forums and chip forums to run as smooth and efficiently as possible. However since tech2 forums are clouded with advertisers and the higher ups are not helping to keep the tech2 working properly, I decided to give away my expertise in other Indian forums. Knowledge deserves to be spread rather than being used as source of power and right to call it "exclusive". I have put this in other forums as well and in certain forums, maintaining it for well over a year. The first post will always be updated as per the price cut happens. As I am coming from forums like tech enclave and oc3d uk and xtreme systems U.S., I will try my best to help people in the forums. If people want to post this, they can do so. But do give some credits and post the link where you got the update from. Ok so here's the thing:
Quote:
NOTE: I am posting the price so that people will know what is the prices of a hardware before any assemblers (so called engineers) takes them for a right. Prices here reflect mumbai prices and can vary from place to place (but max not more then 500-800 rupees). If the hardware that your looking for is not here, it either I have removed it due to redundancy, outdated or out of stock or I am not aware of, which I am sure I will be reminded from time to time. These prices are ONLY should be considered as a reference. I am not a dealer nor I will recommend any dealers. Please do not ask for any configuration settings here for I am sure people can put little more effort, google about a particular hardware and make a draft a configuration according to their budget. Besides, I allready made a configuration thread. One must realize that money doesnt grow on trees and a machine is as good as the user, so at the end of the day its the way you use will make the hardware give out optimum performance. Dont judge a product by watts, sli/crossfire and fancy names with bundles, but by the real bang for money and performance, rest is upto to you! Prices are collected from Bandra West, Andheri East, Kandivali and Lamington Road
I hope that the people who taken their advice from us appreciate from our efforts by updating us with the prices. This way This section will become strong and can help people in a huge way. We're not looking out for mrp, prices from forum's group orders, international converted prices or online deal prices. We need prices from proper real time dealers. With that, we can know how street prices looks like. In others words, help us to help you in a better way. Time to act like a strong tech community now. Old components are removed to make the price list concise and readable. However if you need the price of the partcular product, either I or someone reply to your post- hopefully.

(Please note that this is not as good built as the original version of the mx5021. The body is same but they have heavily comprimised on quality and built. There have been numerous complaints that the capacitors started to leak from the subwoofer due to mid bass performance and tweeters start to sound "loose" after 2-3 months. Nothing still beats mx5021 and you do get replacement for such issues- just giving a heads up)

I had already posted a similar thread

http://www.indiabroadband.net/comput...ce-list-i.html (Computer hardware pheripherals Price List-I)

http://www.indiabroadband.net/comput...e-list-ii.html (Computer hardware Pheripherals Price List-II)

For regularly updated Street Prices [every few days] check the link in the last post of any of the 2 threads [Delta Peripherals]

These are prices of Components in Chennai [including VAT for TN] .... Other states should nt vary too much

^^ There have been cases of a difference of about 500-1000 bucks (depending on the product). Mumbai is the last city to reflect price cut but the first to implement price increase.

There are build quality issues. But performance and sound output is the same.

Nice thread, any idea about the Core i7/Phenom 2/GTX 285 availability?

It will be nice to have RAM prices, especially DDR3

Core i7 not yet available in stores across India. Prices are pretty high plus there's motherboard compatiability issues. I.e quad cores and core2duo MBs are incompatiable with it. The i7 has LGA 1366.

GTX285 is available here in Kolkata on placing order in stores. They say they'll import it in a week on doing so. However its possibly a waste of money.

DDR3 ram prices extracted from priceindia.in (Prices are probably less in retail stores):-
Transcend 2 GB DDR3 Ram Price - 10500/-
Corsair 2 GB DDR 3 1333 Mhz RAM Price - 12500/-
OCZ 2 GB DDR 3 1333 Mhz Gold Edition RAM Price - 8150/-
OCZ 4 GB DDR 3 1066 Mhz Gold Edition RAM Price - 17500/-

Corei7 is there on techshop.in and is available in stores in b'lore.
Yes the motherboards are costly(strt frm 16k).

The GTX285 and GTX295 are available on techshop.in (shipping strts on 20th).

If u go for the Corei7, DO NOT BUY THESE 2GB or 4GB packs !!
These DDR3 versions have High voltage which will fry ur corei7.
Go 4 the 3GB or 6GB combos. Make sure that the voltage is below 1.65V.
The 3GB/6GB ram sticks are 1.5V(usually).

i had asked techsop.in abt the phenom II. They said they will put up the pre order very soon. Expect the price of the 940 to be around 14k.

Also it is recommended that you DONT BUY RAM IN PAIRS BUT RATHER TRIPLETS. The MBs will also designed that way i.e. you'll need to install Memory modules in multiples of 3. Or you can go for a single RAM.

Need the P55 series to come out. Only then will more ppl switch to i7.

Also, shift frm DDR2 1066 MHz to DDR3 1333 MHz, no noticeable performance gains right ?

I assume its not with SD15/SD35 firmware since they get locked down automatically. I allready opened a thread some time ago here about certain seagate drives.
