Yea I bought 19" Glossy monitor from samsung on 25th dec.

hey i just wanted to know.... if u kept one of those glossy ones near a window, would it glare real bad?? (My comp is kept next adjacent the window)

Good question. Only the NON DISPLAY Surface is glossy. The Display surface is covered with non reflective coating thus no reflection at display area of the screen. So point all sorts of lights on it and no reflection. Its a very good feature of monitor.

Btw The native resolution is 1440 x 900
The model no is 943nwx. It has 8000:1 contrast ratio (as claimed).

Do the LCDs costing around 10k have good response times ? ... what is yours ?

I bought a new screen last week a 19inch HP w1907 and its not bad atall and the sound is alright as well.
Besides all that glossy screen and wide screen and what not it looks a lot posh as compared to other brands..

And its cheap

i got mine frm Singapore, it has 2ms response time. Its viewsonic. Runs fine.
