Smile Help-ATI Radeon Xpress 200 Series

    Hi everybody!
Just wanted to get your opinion on 'ATI Radeon Xpress 200 Series'.
Bought my system some years ago..............

    It's Compaq Presario 1921 IL.

    Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 2.80 GHz (2 CPUs)
Display Adapter: ATI Radeon Xpress 200 Series
The real video memory is 256 MB. But, I changed it to 512 MB with the ATI Catalyst Control Center, after I upgraded my RAM to 1.25 GB.

Even now, after I installed a fresh XP, it still shows that I have 512 MB video memory, and my RAM is displayed to be 1 GB. I didn't install the Catalyst Center in this OS. Just installed the driver...

So, is it really some worth, upgrading video memory with the Catalyst Control Center.....

I know that my system configuration is outdated, and not so good at this time............
But, is there any need for me to upgrade it now???
Or, should I wait some more time????

Ah, the main thing I want to know is about my Graphics card....

Please give your opinion about it....

P.S : Please forgive if I have said or asked anything foolish!!!

    That's a lot rajan!!!!!!!
Anyway, thank you for spending your precious time for all this......

    Cool down dude.........
    Take some rest.......

And, I'm not planning to buy anything just now........
If I'm going to buy anything, then I'm going to make it a high end one.
I just wanted to know whether increasing the Graphics memory that way would improve performance.....

It will help the gpu only a tiny bit by increasing memory from 256 to 512.

but on the other hand, if u take away 256mb from 1.25gb ram, it will hamper system performance much. It would be all rite if u had at least 2gb ram.

    Thank you leo!
I will be bringing it back to 256 MB.
    Thank you once more...
