hehehe... really... well i've made it up... give the current one to the repair dude, if repaired, fine, if not then get samsung sh-s202 ide writer. <--This is a final bold fullstop to my decisions, i only hope the s202 is available in the market till i get it .

i'm very environmentally concious you know... i make short trips on foot :lol:..

and i dont have a dl (and WON'T get one at least for 6 months), so cant really drive out of dwarka.. how will i reach kolkata, so i think i'm safe :lol:!

n just found the 202 n 203 are the same drives, just the different interfaces, 2-pata, 3-sata, 4 usb

FINAL UPDATE

Leo now dont go about battering me on my lack of quick decision making abilities,

but i just found that samsung is bad at burning DL, the second layer is almost always crap,

its the best burner around... on ebay its for Rs1750... i think worth the extra buck. at least it won't have all those common problems of other drives. ... this is the best there is, i've also seen many real burn tests of countless people on the forums there at cdfreaks.

and i dont have the time now to go and then have the drive checked up and what not, means a net 4 hours spent up.

if u buy this, then dont forget to inform me about its quality after 3-4 months of use. if u find it good, i may also buy it when my asus leaves me.

no i havent for now... see i landed on the right thing ... m telling you no drive today is getting everything right, except for optiarcs... people in fact are buying 1 as a spare !

n i think n hope there will be no question to the quality as every1 who has bought it on that forum has been very satisfied with it, so i guess i wont be different, i will post though .
