Yesterday I have exchanged SMPS and Battery.

But after that M\C is starting. But no display is comming in Monitor.
I am very sure that monitor is OK. I have tried by resetting the BIOS.

Fan is running. Power is OK. But No display. Actually I can feel with "Speaker on" that just m\c is not running. That's why no signal is passing to Monitor.

    Any clue guys. Please Suggest.

    Thanks
ok. i hope this will solve it. i think the problem here is the monitor doesnt display anything while the cpu is getting the power and the green light on the cabinet is on.. rite ? while you changed your smps and battery , the ram must have got loosened. just open up your ram once and place it properly again. do this only if you know how to properly open and place the ram - applying extra force may cause damage.

Frankly the motherboard getting damaged had been in my mind all this time but didnt want to scare the poster. In such situations i would replace the motherboard with another one and it will start working. But that can be done in corporate environment where peripherals are in plenty. It seems undue pressure was exerted and some of the components/soldering might have loosened.

Take the motherboard to a computer hardware technician, he must take a look at it and fix it probably.

but, the problem he is facing after battery change is different. earlier his pc used to hang after displaying at least something, thats why he was able to login to safe mode. now he is not getting any display at all. thats why i thought it might be a problem with ram ... had there been a motherboard problem how would had he been able to login using the safe mode.?

this made me thought that you were thinking of motherboard getting damaged from the very beginning of this thread but you didnt wanted to say that to the user so that de doesnt get scared and the thread title itself specifies that the pc is running ok in safe mode ... ... just some misinterpretations i guess ...

Possible that M\B is gone. I have searched a lot for any MB for my processor AMD Athlon 2400 XP. But all invain.

So I am going for a New one. Now going for a gaming PC.

He owns a fairly old PC which is already past 4 years. So the upgrade options are limited today. It makes sense to go for a new PC.
