Thread: How to auto extract rar files and join 001 files

I saw this feature in jdowloader. It is capable of extracting and joining rar and 001 files after downloading them off internet

Jdownloader is a freeware used to download from file hosting sites.

But due to lack of schedular in it, i prefer to use IDM for downloading, but want to extract files using jdowloaders auto extractor.

It also facilitates extraction of passworded files using password list feature. Another problem is my internet disconnections, can't use jownloader with frequent net disconnections.

As i am heavy downloader and has lots of rars so need this help badly. It takes me an hour to extract big files.

I want to use the jownloader's extractor independently.

as per i know IDM also got this feature of extracting .rar files. It shows all zipped files as rar but if you click on it then it extracts the files.

use hj split to join .001 files

Can you explain how to access this feature of IDM, I could'nt find it. Does this feature help to extract passworded rar files after finishing downloads? If you can assist me solve my problem, i will be really grateful.

Yes it can extract even files which have passwords provided you know the password.... else there is no rar or zip extractor which can extract passworded files with out password...!

there are many programs which say they can extract it without password but they take a looooot of time and cant do it at last..!

Kiran, can you explain me how IDM does the extraction.

What i meant by saying passworded rar files is that I assign the password before starting download and then the IDM extracts the file using that password after finishing the download. (something like "extract files when download complete" option)

There are programs that watch folders to extract rar files, and extract automatically, but they all fail when these files are passworded. One of these programs is Auto extract.

probably the best software I've found for those 001, 002,003 iso and avi files is called 001 File Joiner and Splitter. Their site can be found here @ 001filejoinerandsplitter . com.

Its super easy and fast I really like it because it associates itself with the .001 files so alls I have to do is give that file a little double click and POW, file is joined!

I simply use windows copy command.

copy /b "part1" + "part2" + "part n" "ccombined file name"

(quotes are a part of the syntax too)
