Buddy, it was not the case when the i7 was just out. That time Nvidia did not have any SLI supported X58 mobos. It was after a lot of talks Intel agreed to do it. One of the first mobos that supported SLI was EVGA with support for tri SLI.

Now, look for X48/X38 mobos that support SLI

    I had a query:-

i'm having the very same UPS type i.e. APC Back-UPS ES 500 but i don't have this AUTO SHUTDOWN facility .............. Is this some extra feature in your UPS ...........

Infact i had also contacted customer care as i had learned about the UPS shutdown facility/software but they responded as by saying that my model doesn't support such a feature.

Would you please through some light on this ..................

I bought my UPS back in 2005 May. At that time the ES-500 used to have an extra support for auto-shutdown. After a few months APC removed that feature and made the UPS cheaper. The auto-shutdown feature is now available in 650VA UPS and higher models(as per my knowledge).

My age is 28, I bought my PC when I was 24, which shows that I am a quite new user compared to a person who owns 2 PCs and is aged 20.

Well , that depends upon the number of RAM slots you have on your motherboard, and the maximum support of each slot(refer to the user manual or search on the net for your MB model for details.)
