But since there is a poll, i guess its different. My config:
Intel E5200 @3.2GHz (my P2 710 was DOA when i got it,can not replace it)
    Gigabyte G31 ES2L motherboard
    2X2 GB Corsair XMS2 DDR2 800MHz RAM

how much for what exactly, please specify?

I have been adding to the system gradually. I got the processor, mobo and 1 gb ram way back in late 07. additional ram in December last year. Got the graphics card last month.

Vista ultimate is 32bit. I don't know whether it will support 4 gb ram. AFAIK it only uses 3gb even if you have 4 gb installed, am I right?

May be in 1-2 year time, I'll get a new core i-7 or what ever is new at the time and get a 64bit copy of windows 7.

My PSU is stock 500watt, that came with the iball cabinet.

nope i7 will be followed by i5 which will have dual channel memory controller and the performance will be on par with i7 and since till now no games have been released which use the full potential of the i7 so i7 is damn future proof my rig costs Rs72000 and can outperform any branded computer
i7s can be overclocked like hell and outperform all the xeons also except the 6 cores xeons i7s is best chip architecture available now and in the near 4year future since intel will be developing nothing new on processors as i7 is the limit for now because they are working on CPU+GPU combo one processor which will replace the CPU and GPUs which will be using i7 processor architecture and nvidia GPU architecture
eventhough i agree that intel switching sockets very fast so amd is a safe choice but still the i7 will be one of th best for a long time untill AMD comes up with something ground breaking
i7 is the total tide changer of the AMD vs Intel war

and as for windows 32 bit
if you have 4 gb RAM shared video memory which is 1gb which goes to the video processing

no matter what you do 32bit OS(not LINUX based)can not use more than 3GB of RAM.

It will be outdated in another 2 years means that it will be NO WHERE CLOSE to being one of the fastest processors. Do u know what the i5 will be followed by ????? Find out

Also, u got the 920 on time, it will be stopped as soon as the i5 will be out.
But, what were u thinking bro !! U spent so much on a freekin comp !!!! Ur dad is a CEO or somethin !!
What have u clocked ur 920 to ??

PS: The Phenom 2 was a tide changer. The i7 was a engineering marvel, but a marketing flop. It had bad timing. came when global recession was at its peak. But the Phenom 2 was a huge success. AMD does not need the crown, as of now, they need to get rid of all their depts, look for possible buyers too :P .Intel has larabee on its hands. If thats a flop also, they maybe, just maybe in trouble.

nope the i5 wont be followed by anything faster than i7 for the next 3 years and BTW every PC gets outdated after 2 years
as i explained intel is not working on a faster processor but something else(refer the previous post)

i5 will be their last release for the next year and
intel has jumped sockets so quickly it wont be in their commercial interest to release anything after i5 for atleast a year

obviously the above information are only assumptions made by experts based on logical arguments

Now where did u find that ???
AMD was working on fusion processor(CPU+GPU on same die).

Nvidia will never help intel. Did u not hear about their fight ???

Ever wondered y only a few X58,X48,X38 mobos supported SLI ??
