    //seriously
    its only effective when hot air moves from the inside to the outside .... which is what the cpu fan does

    i doubt that ll have any effect , considering that its summer

    it ll still condense on the box right ?? at the very worst on top of the cpu (where the box is placed), which is water proof

    When we keep a pack of ice, we intend that some part of CPU will benefit of the cold area. It is possible that moisture inside the cpu may condense to water. In that case, it will cause serious damage to the components.

    Good reply.

    Actually the fan should work as long as the CPU is hotter than
    the ambient temp in summer right?

    Even I've thought quite often about putting a table fan in front of the open CPU.

    To avoid that u can put some cover on the mobo itself. That is what pro overclockers do when they use LN2 or helium.
    Easiest way to cool a comp it 2 put it in a small fridge !!!

    I've found that putting a table fan in front of an open CPU definitely helps. When the temperature of the CPU is something like 50C and that of hard disk 45C, once I turn on the table fan, the CPU temp goes down to 39C quickly, and the hard disk temp also falls to 40C, though it takes more time.

    i'm a using a dual core cpu's fan 4 cooling my HDD, which otherwise overheat to about 60C.
