I think You are still confusing between MBps and Mbps ... You must have got a speed of about 8-10 MBps.

Guys, my modem has 1 RJ-45 and 1 USB, is it possible that i connect my PC with USB and another laptop(my fren) with the RJ45 to get a LAN connection ??? He is coming over on sunday so i wanted to know if we could game like that(via LAN)

You should be able to do it. I will check and let you know. I havent tried do transfer data between 2 pcs (one lan and one usb). But i have this facility in my modem. I will check and post here.
