Default Free Online Image Backup ~ Suggestions please

    Free Online Image Backup

I looking for a Free online image backup service to store my personal pictures, and the following are the features i'm looking for....

    1. Privacy (no images must be displayed in public/search engines)
    2. Must provide software for uploading or be supported by 3rd party software
    3. Free (limited online space is not an issue)
    4. Images must not be modified by the service at all (some of them resize it)

    Try imageshack.us

It meets all of your conditions including a mass uploader.

if its just for backing up purposes, open a GMail A/c (if u don't have one already) and use the Firefox add-on "GSpace" to upload the files to your GMail A/c. Create a filter in GMail to directly archive any mail with "GSPACE" in the subject line, after attaching a label "GSPACE" so that your inbox is not cluttered. Currently GMail provides more than 7 GB of free space.

This work-around satisfies all your requirements.

why dont you just use Gdrive ? facility provided by gmail.

It will create a drive in you "My computers" which will be connected online to your account. You can store not only images but all types of files. It works just a drive so no need of other software, open site etc..

ooops sorry bhoot i didnt see your post

Use Picasa web album. It is the best option you can have. Picasa 3 allows you to upload pictures from the system. You can create a non shared album.

My system crash when I use Picasa 3. It seems the bad sector in my c drive is causing this. I had to upload manually using Flock. Not used much though.

    absolutely.
It has the added advantage of giving u an URL per album that u can share with selected people (if u want) and also gives an option to resize the image (if u want) at the time of upload.
