Thread: need help on motherboard mercury kob 810E FST

My system's mother board is kob 810E FST form mercury with celeron 600 MHZ processor, this is around 2000/2001 model. I am using this system for only for browsing purpose....

I brought a celeron 1 ghz (SL5XT) processor for dirt price and tried to upgrade with this processor. After setting up, sytem is not booting, as soon i go into the bios settings my system freezes very quickly like a touch me not plant. Mother board is able to detect the processor partially but not able to cope with it I guezz...
Suggestions plz....

err...... get a new system plz ??

Is ur CPU fan working ?? I really dunno abt that motherboard.

I have a Latest system dude, but still want to keep the older system.... I don't wanna dump it...
