Default All in one network server

What to do with an old PC for which you don’t find a buyer? Here is a solution to convert your PC into Network Server with the help of Linux Operating System. eBox 0.9.1 is of size 205 MB and behaves as router having feature like proxy, firewall, routing, VPN etc. It acts like full fledged remotely controllable network server. It does not have user interface, taskbars, menus etc. It directly loads page on Firefox which becomes web interface from where you can control all features of this operating system. Unlimited number of connections can work on this server. Multiple users all over the network or on the internet can form virtual network.

As always all the old box can be converted into a small business server for serving file/printing/network/mail. As the system need not be kept in a gui envrionment, just the system need to be switched on, it will serve better than MS software solutions. Server means a server serving to clients (not in the sense of server as hardware, NOTE : if you give server resource at the hardware level it will out perform). There will not be any performance issue as if your network is around 100 nodes, i assume(that is what is a small business, right?). Unwanted service to be disabled and only the necessary service to be enabled. As far as security is concerned this setup will be top class, there need not be any antivirus at the4 server. Only clients to be protected at their level.
