Thread: Running Win XP Mode without Intel VT ??

i'm using windows 7 ultimate 64bit
i'm on intel quad core Q8200 processor which doesnt supports intel vt.
so my question is dere any way i can run win xp mode without intel vt ?
even the intel quad core Q6600 supports intel vt shyaaa
comparison between Q6600 and Q8200


i'm having prob with 2 softwares
1. Micromedia Flash 8 - setup hangs while installing (stucks on 0% completed)
i'm also having adobe flash cs4(which is latest) but it doesnt have save as flash 8 document option

2. Pixelview TV Tunner Pro 3 Drivers - drivers r getting installed but after 2-3 days de stop working.

both softwares were working fine on win XP.

No you can not run XP mode on W7.

Only solution is to buy a new processor IMO.

i think its possible.(correct me if i am wrong)

i think that u can use virtualbox and install windows xp in it.

it doesn't require any vt!even i have intel core 2 duo E7400 and it doesn't support it but i can run windows xp in virtualbox and windows 7 in background!

with winrar!just select "best" under compression method.

Yea Sun Virtual PC is a little different than what XP Mode was intended to do but it is a nice solution if you are just looking to run XP within Windows 7. The main intent of XP Mode is so you can actually run the program proactively within the Windows 7 environment and it still follows the Windows 7 environment even though it is a program installed in XP Mode. It's very neat but unfortunately many laptops are not supported because of the virtualization requirements.

yeah even my core 2 duo doesn't support it but i can run Win XP in Sun Virtual Box.
