Thread: 15GHz Chips by 2010 - Intel

and PDA's would hit the 5Ghz mark by 2010.

This is what intel had said way back in 2002. Seems really funny now right ? Back then, reaction would have been WOW , a 15GHz P4 is SO DAMN FAST !!! or THIS IS MY NEXT CHIP and blah blah ...

So, my point is, no one has seen the future of technology,or even near to predict its path, even Intel, who is the pioneer in CPU technology, can not say what future technologies could be. Moore's Law, well not the best scale for things now.

Anyone wants to predict what happens in 2012 ???

1 question-does it run even faster than the core technology?

it would consume more power than the rest of your house and still be slower than a 4Ghz core 2
