    Default New Desktop Configuration

    Hi,

    I have a query regarding a new desktop config which i am planning to buy.

    Quadcore Processor with 8 GB RAM with Intel 41 RQI motherboard... is this config.. possible?

    Pl. suggest.. any alternate suggestions are also welcome.

    It would be really nice if you could tell you budget for the PC and its purpose. 8GB seems to be an overkill for most, only required for graphic designers. Never heard of that motherboard, please check up again, is it a G41 ?

    my budget is around 30k. No i require 8 gb coz i am planning to install different server systems which needs to be run in the back ground. I am trying to set up a home server kind of system for my own practice and knowledge updation.

    its 41 RQI

    ok its a DG41 RQI.

    So what are your needs again ? Will you need a monitor in Rs30,000 ? Is there any previously owned hardware that you will be using ?

    I have an advice for you although you didint ask for it....

    To get practical experience of running a server the best way is to go for the real thing.... get a VPS for like 15-20$ per month and you would save a lot of money in addition to getting the real experience as well... You would get root access to a VPS and can run anything you want.

    No everything will be new in that 30000 including a TFT.

    what size tft u need????
    if 19 inch then see the image.looks preety good.me too using this one.

    Thanks for all your replies, i got my system configured with 8 gb ram, 1 tb hdd, 20" tft core 2 duo, motherboard DG45ID all under cost of 32K.
