In this thread i will advice which PSU is more suitable for users with different needs. The PSU is a very important part of a PC, specially ones with Discreet GPUs. Having a cheap PSU can cost you your whole rig hence always choose a good quality PSU/SMPS .


Here i will suggest some PSUs based on budget:

Below Rs2000:
FSP Saga 2 350W PSU - Good enough for a 9600GT on a dual core with some overclock.

Below Rs3000:

SeaSonic S12II 380B 380W - nice 80+ efficiency PSU. Can handle a 4850 on a dual core or even a quad, but with minimal overclocking.

FSP Blue storm Pro 350W PSU - At just Rs2200, this is also a pretty good buy. It comes with active PFC.

Gigabyte Superb 460W - This is rather easier to find and is also a good choice.

Below Rs 5000:
Corsair VX450 : Can easily power a 4850/4870 on a quad. Many even claim that it can power a 4890 on a quad. Comes with a 5 year warranty.

Glacial Power AL650AA 650W PSU - This can easily power most GPUs. Has a really good efficiency (its 80+ according to reviews).

Cooler master real power pro 460W PSU - Make sure its real power pro and not extreme power. For around Rs3600 this is a really good pick. Comes with 5 years warranty.
