Default ATI 5830 Graphics Card around the corner

You all must have heard about the new ATI 5 series of Graphics Cards, they a are all DirectX 11, 40nm and up till now, use GDDR5 memory. The list of features goes on and on, so its easier to look them up on their site instead.
They had released high performance cards like the ATI 5850 and 5870 a long time back, but are a little on the expensive side. The prices of the 5850 have fallen to Rs14500 in india, but is still out of reach for many (like me).

The next cheapest card, the ATI 5770 (selling for Rs 9000 now), was felt a little under powered for its price and there is a big price gap between the 5850 and 5770.

To fill this Void, ATI will release the ATI 5830 Graphics Card. Its exact specifications are unknown, but it is said to be faster than an ATI 4890 and cheaper (hence below Rs 12,000). The card will release in Jan end and should be in india within a few weeks of release. Even if it has 800 Shaders (same as 5770) with a 256bit memory interface, it is easily going to 15-20% be faster than a 5770. Will update you guys when the actual launch takes place

    One more card released huh!

i think ATI is taking full advantage of NVIDIA not releasing dx11 cards.

Is this card better than 5970??

And is this also better than 5670.

this is not where near the 5970. This is lot faster than a 5670. Just wait and see the price. Till then, win the next contest.

Another Update: There is another delay. The launch is now on 16th Feb. There seems to be an issue with the PCB design.
The price tag: Its $239 so expect a price tag of at least Rs13000
