GO to desktop, right click on and go to ATI catalyst control center and go to hardware. There the model will be shown. If you still cant find out, open ur your PC and look at the sticker of the card.

No, not much improvement in the ping. Its 121 now and the speed is 1.9 Mb/s

My plan is MTNL 256 UL combo that gives 100 free calls in 599 per month + 75 for the wifi router.

I should be getting 256 kbps, instead i get 1900 kbps which is roughly equal to 2 Mbps

It depends upon your ISP. Ask any one around you who is using the same plan.

    Lightbulb

    My PC Specs are:
    Intel Core2Duo E5200 @ 2.50 GHz
    4 GB DDR2 RAM
    512 MB nVidia GeForce 7050 - n610i Onboard Chipset

I am going to buy a graphics card soon.
    it could be:
    ASUS EN 8400 GS - 512 MB
ATI Radeon HD 5750 or other ( Depends on how much money i can get)

Most users have 512 MB in old pc's
pc's with 1GB RAM are mostly sold previous year
pc's with 2GB RAM are also mostly sold previous year
pc's with 3GB RAM are rare, like some new laptops or desktops.
pc's with 4GB RAM are bought by gamers, in their time.
pc's with 8GB RAM are bought by some real gamers in their time.
pc's with 12GB RAM are the new ones.

You can see some of them here

I have a C2D E4500 2.2 Ghz with 1 GB DDR2 and GeForce 220 GT with 1 GB, I hardly use the available resources (not a gamer really except chess). Though I use oracle, postgres, eclipse, netbeans for my developments, the above is more than enough (as I am in linux may be in windows the available hardware resource will be insufficient). For gamers there should be a good system with lot of memory. As far as you are able to achieve your regular tasks with the system you are having it is good enough. If you don't think in this direction most of the system will become obsolete and a lot of e-waste will be generated. I think most of us know the consequence.

I think the thread should have been "which RAM brands"? That would have been more specific and informative than just talking of our Rams. If you have basic needs like just browsing,512mb Ram is sufficient. Ganging up people for the sake of "ye mera jyada" is stupid. There was someone who was asking us to ping, just so that he can can be satisfied that theres noone using "nearest to him speeds".

I am not against discussing such things. But theres a limit. One may also ask how much warranty shall a new Ram maker give and things like that. And so he will even be satisfied looking at the sizes of Ram people use.

    I do agree.
Although I have more than adequate RAM today, but there were days when I started with 512MB RAM which now a days is below the minimum.

hmm, although that suggests that the PC is of extremely high config, but actually it indicates that your brother (or you or both of you) is/are very very rich..........
so my question is,"Are you trying to suggest or you are trying to indicate."

GS means silent-no fans, only a huge heat sink, so noise from your GFX card
DVI means is video output port similar to the VGA output for your monitor from MB or GFX card but has but the difference is unlike VGA the DVI is digital and has more granularity in picture reproduction with more number of channels. If want to know more about this then google is always there.
Shader model 4 is a shading language developed by MS , read more from the following link.

I heard GS stands for shared memory and they are low profile Graphic cards..
They are good in running HD movies @ 1080p and vista Aero experience etc..

They are not ment for gaming and their clocked very low...
They dont have Fans becs they must not make Hizzzzzzing noise while watching movies, so they use a very large heat sink to cool the GPU and memory chips....

GS generally means lower edition. Its somewhat like this:

    GS<GT<GTS<GTX<Ultra and so on...

    I forgot to mention "generally"
GS cards normally are built same as other cards of the same series but the difference comes where these cards are tuned to run at minimum noise level("generally" without fans) which as a result makes the card to run under certain boundaries,
but if these cards are pushed a bit ahead with proper cooling arrangements(the factory provided fan would not do) then a GS card also can give performance close to GT card(only the GPU-for the VRAM this may not be true as the factory fitted VRAM has to be in sync with performance of the GPU, so in GT cards generally the tolerances of VRAMs from GT cards are improved as compared to GS cards .)

GS and GT cards are like "a commercially produced sports car to run on streets" and "same sports car tuned for a race".
