pls help about the smps
i have corsair vx 450 and cool master 460 in mind, wich should i go for
what kind of ups i require , i heard apc is the best will a 600VA sufficient. pls suggest any other brand.
my plan is too get phenom ii x4 945, no over clocking. asus 785g motherboard. 2 sata hdd, 2 dvd writer, card reader, ati 5770. i have decide to do LED lighting and 3 cpu fans in a cooler master 310 or 335 case.
Sorry for the late reply. The model is G2420HD.
If I was in your pplace, I would go with Corsair vx 450. APC is the most trusted brand. If you really want to go with another brand, go with Numeric 1KVA - Rs. 3800 approx.
Decent config. Cooler master elite 310 should suffice.
Thanks for your information. I m also looking for gaming pc under budget of Rs.35,000/- (without lcd)
I am planning for this configurations but I don’t know exact price, so plz help me
Processor: AMD Phenom II Quad X4 - 945 (3.0GHz, 8M, AM3) Price Rs 6800-7200/-
Motherboard: GIGABYTE AMD 785G Rs 5500-5800/-
RAM: Transced / CORSAIR 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1333MHz Rs. 4500/-
Graphics card : Sapphire 5750 1GB or 5770 1GB (support to DirectX 11) 8500-9000/-
HDD: Seagate 1TB HDD 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3500/-
Cabinet: CoolerMaster 690 II Rs.5000/-
Optical Drive: LG DVD-Writer 22xD SATA Rs.1000/-
looks fine. You can easily get a cheaper 785G motherboard with DDR3, check out the boards from Biostar. If you can wait, I would highly recommend you wait a few more weeks, a new card from Nvidia will be launched on 12th july and its suppose to be good for VFM, its the GTX 460.
Also, you need a good PSU.
I bought a assembled PC in March(Now its cheaper,I shouldve waited)
for Rs30,000
Here are the specs:
I-ball cabinet with 440wats PSU or SMPS
500gb Segate Barracuda 10000rpm
Gigbyte motherboard
AMD PHENOM X4 2.8ghz
LG disk drive
ATI RADEON HD5670
20"Samsung LCD
Logitech keyboard and mouse
Creative speakers
Yeah,I forgot to mention 3gb(2gbx1 stick,1gbx1stick ram)DDR3 Transcend ram
Plus,4year complete warranty

dude you did not tell the amount of RAM ? and I don't think the HDD is 10krpm.
Yeah it is
My PC guy told me that a new batch of imported HDD's had come which had nice RPM
Seagate Savvio 10k.2: 10,000 RPM : SAS Hard Drives: 15,000 vs. 10,000 RPM
Mine is something like this
But definitely of SEAGATE
I edited my post and added RAM
PS:bookmark Tom's Hardware: Hardware News, Tests and Reviews
Youll need it
I used it to compare ATI and NVIDIA cards
I know about those drives, just that its hard to find in the indian market and is pretty expensive. Seagate Barracuda is a 7200rpm drive.
Well not for personal PC's
But definitely for SERVERS
I was going to get 7200 and 10000 at same price,so I opted for 10000
(Dont be happy,My computer guy is from my family so he gave it to me,plus i got
a free extra 4 series gfx in crossfire)
Sorry I thought it was barracuda
Plus dont try AMD also
Their performance is 90% of Intel, but price is 60% of Inter
eg:You could buy a quad-core AMD having more HERTZ than a Dual Core Intel at the same price
GFX-Stick to ATI They are much cheaper and give excellent performance

servers use 15000rpm SAS drives....
what do u mean by 4 series graphics card lol.
which card ? Its the 4000 series dudeUse GPUz to find out.
1)I have 2GB DDR2 RAM , Monitor, 500GB HDD. (Hence no need to buy extra)
2)I want a new Processor(Which 1 should i go for?)(Currently i am on P4)
3)Good gaming Graphics card(1 GB will do).
4)I want to change my mobo(which is 6yrs old and doesnt have PCI-E slots.)(Which one should i buy?).
Also suggest me extra stuff(Hardware) like coolant etcetc which i must buy to protect my PC.
Also tell me each of the above's average price.
I am guessing whole upgradation will cost around 20k?
What is the primary use of the pc mate?
Within 20k you will get a medium-end gaming cum multimedia rig.
Yes Gaming , watching movies , surfing.
Till now i was able to play CounterStrike on p4 , intel GMA910 embedded.

Thanks.
i would say change your CPU+mobo combo. Get an AMD Phenom 955 for Rs7500 and a decent mobo, something like Gigabyte GA-MA785GMT-US2H would be a good combo. Rest looks fine, which shop you getting the Antec 902 for that price? pretty low..
Thanks rajan for your feed back
The price of Antec 902 is just an approximation.
Check Out Antec 902 at Theitdepot-
As for the AMD 955-Code:theitdepot.com/details-Antec+Nine+Hundred+Two+Gaming+Case_C5P7158.html
I'm leaning a bit towards getting an Intel original CPU and Motherboard.
Now I'm not an Intel fanboy and I know the benefits of getting and AMD processor. Unfortunately however I am a student and my parents have been brainwashed by Intel's aggressive marketing and they will veto any choice against it.
yeah go for it.....
get go for the i3 instead of E8400...
