If I was in your pplace, I would go with Corsair vx 450. APC is the most trusted brand. If you really want to go with another brand, go with Numeric 1KVA - Rs. 3800 approx.
Decent config. Cooler master elite 310 should suffice.

looks fine. You can easily get a cheaper 785G motherboard with DDR3, check out the boards from Biostar. If you can wait, I would highly recommend you wait a few more weeks, a new card from Nvidia will be launched on 12th july and its suppose to be good for VFM, its the GTX 460.

Also, you need a good PSU.

    Yeah it is
My PC guy told me that a new batch of imported HDD's had come which had nice RPM

Seagate Savvio 10k.2: 10,000 RPM : SAS Hard Drives: 15,000 vs. 10,000 RPM
    Mine is something like this
    But definitely of SEAGATE

I edited my post and added RAM

PS:bookmark Tom's Hardware: Hardware News, Tests and Reviews
    Youll need it
I used it to compare ATI and NVIDIA cards

I know about those drives, just that its hard to find in the indian market and is pretty expensive. Seagate Barracuda is a 7200rpm drive.

I am just curious to know if these 10,000 RPM hard disks are worth the money over their 7,200 RPM counterparts? I mean, is their a big performance leap?

    Well not for personal PC's
    But definitely for SERVERS
I was going to get 7200 and 10000 at same price,so I opted for 10000
(Dont be happy,My computer guy is from my family so he gave it to me,plus i got
a free extra 4 series gfx in crossfire )

Sorry I thought it was barracuda
    Plus dont try AMD also
Their performance is 90% of Intel, but price is 60% of Inter
eg:You could buy a quad-core AMD having more HERTZ than a Dual Core Intel at the same price

GFX-Stick to ATI They are much cheaper and give excellent performance

    Default upgrading PC

1)I have 2GB DDR2 RAM , Monitor, 500GB HDD. (Hence no need to buy extra)

    2)I want a new Processor(Which 1 should i go for?)(Currently i am on P4)

3)Good gaming Graphics card(1 GB will do).

4)I want to change my mobo(which is 6yrs old and doesnt have PCI-E slots.)(Which one should i buy?).

Also suggest me extra stuff(Hardware) like coolant etcetc which i must buy to protect my PC.

Also tell me each of the above's average price.

I am guessing whole upgradation will cost around 20k?

i would say change your CPU+mobo combo. Get an AMD Phenom 955 for Rs7500 and a decent mobo, something like Gigabyte GA-MA785GMT-US2H would be a good combo. Rest looks fine, which shop you getting the Antec 902 for that price? pretty low..

Thanks rajan for your feed back

The price of Antec 902 is just an approximation.
Check Out Antec 902 at Theitdepot-
    Code:
    theitdepot.com/details-Antec+Nine+Hundred+Two+Gaming+Case_C5P7158.html
    As for the AMD 955-

I'm leaning a bit towards getting an Intel original CPU and Motherboard.
Now I'm not an Intel fanboy and I know the benefits of getting and AMD processor. Unfortunately however I am a student and my parents have been brainwashed by Intel's aggressive marketing and they will veto any choice against it.

Please Keep in mind that if you go for i3 then you have to change your Motherboard also.Intel DP43BF supports upto Core 2 Quad only!
Intel DP55WG can support upto Intel Core i5,please check the Prices may be above 5k.
I am not sure about the price of that Motherboard.
