Thread: ATI 5830: Specs and pricing !

Finally, the specifications and pricing of what can be the best bang for buck Graphics Card in the market has been leaked ! The card was listed on an online etailer and was priced at 215 euros. This is a pre order so you can expect the actual price to be below the 200 mark. It sounds good as a normal 5850 will cost around 250 euros so this is not too bad.


The card is beased on the cypress LE core, used in the 5850, but with a fewer shaders, 1280 shaders as shown by the website, instead of the 1440 on the 5850. This is not a huge cut and it should pack quiet a punch (easily faster than the GTX275). The surprise was the core clock. It is clocked at 750MHz, that is 25MHz more than the 5850. The 1GB GDDR5 memory is clocked at 1000MHz, just as the 5850. These specs are still not official.

Sadly, there is still no word when these cards will be shipped.

Ok guys, its finally official. The card will be launched on the 25th Feb. Lets hope the price is great.
