Finally, some news of Nvidia's DX11 'monster' GPU (shader count is believed to be 480) is that it will be branded under GTX 470 and GTX 480 and not the earlier rumoured GTX 380.Higher number obviously indicates better performance. The GTX 3** series has been reserved for the DX10.1 Graphics cards. Most of these DX10.1 cards are in the Notebook segment and are nothing to get excited about (not great performance).


The launch date of these cards is still March and there is no exact date out yet. Partners may be able to display the cards at CeBit (at least the box lol). For now, at lest we know the official name, the rest, only time will tell.
