    Default Gaming PC suggestions

In this thread, lets discuss the different Computer hardware configurations for gaming PCs of different budgets.

Lets start off with a Mid range gaming PC with a budget of Rs60,000 for the full system. So here is what i feel the optimum configuration for this budget.

    Processor: Intel Core i5 750- 10k
    Motherboard:Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2(little hard to find in stock) - 6.2k
    RAM: Transced/Gskill 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1333MHz - 5.2k
    GPU: Sapphire 5770 1GB GDDR5(DX11)- 9.6k
    HDD: Seagate 500GB HDD - 3.1k
    Cabinet: CoolerMaster 690 II - 4.8k
    SMPS/PSU: CoolerMaster GX550 - 4.6k
    Optical Drive: L.G. GH22NS30 SATA/Samsung SH-S22F SATA - 1.1k
    Monitor: Benq 24" G2420HD - 10.6k

Prices may differ a bit, but its more or less similar in india. This comes down to around Rs 56,000. You may choose to go for even better RAM but that really does not improve performance. You could use this money for Speakers, Keyboards & mice, even mouse pads.

The Core i5 750 is a Quad core processor without Hyper threading.

Here is my pick for a Rs45,000 gaming PC. When it comes to a budget build, that too for gaming, AMD is always my pick, amazing performance, excellent features, low price tag are idea for this segment. Vignesh this one is for you !(assuming your buying the Z5500 too )

Processor : AMD Phenom 2 555BE - 5.5k (Dual core, but can be converted to a Quad core)
Motherboard: Biostar TA785G3 - 3.8k (DDR3, has SB710 for unlocking the processor cores)
    RAM: Transced/Gskill 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1333MHz - 5.2k
    GPU: Sapphire 5770 1GB GDDR5(DX11)- 9.6k
    HDD: Seagate 500GB HDD - 3.1k
    Cabinet: CoolerMaster 690 II - 4.8k
    SMPS/PSU: CoolerMaster GX550 - 4.6k
    Optical Drive: L.G. GH22NS30 SATA/Samsung SH-S22F SATA - 1.1k
    Monitor: Benq 24" G2420HD - 10.6k

Total comes to about Rs49,000. OK,so we have overshot a bit. If its a strict budget, here is the fix:
    Motherboard : Biostar A785G - 3.5k
    RAM: Corsair XMS2 800MHz DDR2 4GB(2x2) - 4.2k

That pulls it back to around Rs47.5k. The only other way i see you can get it below the Rs45k mark is by getting a 22" Monitor for Rs 8000, so thats your call, both 24" and 22" monitors are Full HD res(1920x1080).

If you are not comfortable with unlocking cores, you can get a Phenom 2 965 (quad core) for Rs9000.(costing same as the Rs60k gaming rig eventually)

Even people with a Rs60,000 budget can go for the above rig, and get a ATI 5850 instead of the ATI 5770. It will result in MUCH MUCH better gaming experience.

Hah! The PC configurations you mentioned above can not beat an XBOX360 or a PS3 in features which they offer.
If anyone has this high budget they can get a nice big LCD and one of the good consoles and enjoying gameing like never before insted of doing so much of R&D.

An average gamer can not dare to read your thread forward after reading the third line of post #1.
By the way I liked the pictures in post #1.

Why u shaked consoles man!this is gaming PC config.no console should be discussed here.

    and if u get a 5850 then u can't compare it with a ps3.

PS3 is old now.5850 was in just in 2010.

thanks you for your great config. But since my Dad is very particular about the budget, ie he will maximum go upto 65k. Your config is coming to 56k. then speakers(18.5k)+keyboard/mouse(1.5k) will all come upto around 75k.
Is there anything that i can cut short?

Go home. Play on your PS3. I don't want to argue without any proof. I am very sure you got no idea about Desktop hardware.PS3/Xbox 360 hardware does not even come close to this when comparing the computation power, just that games for PS3 and like are better optimized for that hardware as it remains the same. If you are in bangalore, feel free to come over to my place, get your PS3 too and compare. I got a wheel so you can try your favorite racing games. I also have a Joystick, we can try HAWX too.

@Vignesh: Yes there are a few places we can cut back. Will have a look again

Rajan and other member on this thread, please dont get annoyed with me.
The only question I had was is it worth to spend so much money on such a good configuration PC.Even I plan to get a new PC now and my budget is around 25k.

Its not about getting annoyed buddy, its just that its not good to carry arguments of a different thread here. What say? I am sorry if you felt bad with what i said.

As for the PC with a 25k budget, i had posted a configuration before, just look up older threads in this section, i think i had posted it late last year, hardware will pretty much be the same even now, just that prices may be different.

No This was entirly my fault.
I should have thought twice before posting such comment and getting consoles on this thread.
This is because my mind is going crazy due to increasing work pressure.
Thanks for the PC config info. I really needed this.

    Default Query regarding Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2

When I went to gigabyte's site there were two models-
    1. rev.1.0 GA-P55M-UD2 (rev. 1.0) - GIGABYTE - Product - Motherboard - Specification

    2. rev.1.1 GA-P55M-UD2 (rev. 1.1) - GIGABYTE - Product - Motherboard - Specification

What is the difference between these two?

    nothing.the mobos are same.

just the review version is different.

Means just the review 1.1 is newer than 1.0.

Nothing feature wise, must be some revision. Get the newer one (V1.1)

Looks fine, would suggest you go for an APC 600VA UPS as it has more renowned quality.

thanks. I will be buying this tomorrow.
As for the mouse-pad I bought a 12X10 inch sheet of acrylic(Rs. 60). Then I used sandpaper and a hacksaw to shape the acrylic. Then I got some fabric and a needle and thread. Now just hem up the fabric on the acrylic sheet or you can even stick it on it. But just make sure it has no wrinkles.
