Thread: Cooler master cm690 ii

The original CoolerMaster CM690 was a very popular, Value-for-money PC mid tower chassis for a long time. It needed some kind of an update, a face lift,refresh.

The Cooler Master CM 690 II is just that. Its got a different look, some neat features and like the original, a hell lot of fan options.

The Cabinet also comes in a different Avatar, the CM690 II Advance. This comes with an External HDD Dock, so you can access you hard drive with ease. It also features a unique steel retention bracket for your Graphics card. This bracket is really useful if you got a multi GPU setup or you have heavy graphics cards like the ATI 5970.

Its got great interiors. An all black interior looks really really sweet. I actually wanted to do it in my HAF 922, but i could not find a place nearby who does powder coating . It has a nice square hole behind the motherboard for easy access and replacement of the CPU HSF.

Its priced at $99, tad higher but cant really complain.Have a look at the pictures, need I say more ?

Arguably it is the best cabinet available at the moment.

My brother from Yahoo had gone there recently, he said Frys was right next to his office in SF and he asked me if i wanted something. So i gave him a huge list

He is the Engineering Director (no idea what that is) at yahoo. He not there right now but goes there pretty regularly.
