ATI recently launched a new driver set, the catalyst 10.3. It had boasted of a great improvement in performance and features. So, are all those claims true ? What kind of performance benefit do we get ?
In the tests conducted by Tweak Town , there is a clear indication that these drives work much better than the older 10.2 set. With performance increase seen across many games (noticeably HAWX) , even on lower end cards like the 5770.
ATI/AMD had earlier told that these drivers would be special, but we never to that really seriously as that is what the PR teams are made for, but, to our surprise (in a good way!) these drivers do live up to those numbers and if you own a ATI HD5000 series card, you should not miss out on this update.
AMD also claims some gains for the older 4800 series cards, lets see how true that is, i will test them and let you all know. Please feel free to share your experiences with the new driver, any bugs, any fixes, any improvements.
