Default Does an expensive psu is required to run a card like 4850?

i recently bought powecolor 4850 from ebay at 4000 rs.but the seller told me to not to use the card on my cheap 450W nav-tech psu and get something expensive like that of corsair.also i had read on some posts that even a cooler master extreme power plus psu can be a danger to the system.can i have a zebronics psu for my new system or a gigabyte superb 460W?

Yes i would strongly recommend a good PSU for the 4850,btw, i too own a powercolor 4850

Avoid Cooler master Extreme power plus series of PSUs. Get the COrsair VX450 if you can afford it, or the Seasonic 380W PSU. If you cant, Gigabyte superb should be you last choice.

I would go with what Rajan said.

@rajan1311 - Are cooler master extreme power plus really bad. I am asking this because my Dad bought one just last week.

corsair 450w is expensive than seasonic wave 380w.

Go for the seasonic wave 380w.rajan told me it can power the 4850 easily.

change the PSU as soon as u can, a yr back with my HD 3850 on my cheap psu came with my cabine, got burst off while i change the Res in my desktop to get some extra space...
Now i own a Huntkey 550w psu and its really awesome at its price range, just paid 2900 and it has 5yrs replaceable warrenty...

its 2x 6pin pcie connector and 4+4 cpu power pin and 20+4 pin...

its the better way to go and it also has a 120mm silent fan with blue led on it...
