Thread: Ideal temperature of a motherboard?

Dear friends,
I have Asus p5k-vm motherboard in my Intel core2duo E7650 2.86 GH.System.I have 3GB.ram and 4 fans installed in the system.I use Asus Probe software to check temperatures of processor and motherboard and speed of fans.Sometimes the temperature of the motherboard goes to 52 C.Is that dangerous?.
What should be the ideal temperatures of processor and motherboard?
Please guide.

By motherboard temperature i am guessing you mean Northbridge heat ? Well, if thats the case, 52C is really good, it can handle temps up to 110C (generally)

you have mentioned that you have 4 fan installed in your cabinet..
Face 3 fans blowing air inside the cabinet and 1 fan for blowing air outside..

My Motherboard temperature goes upto 47C.When the outside temperature is around 45+ the temperature is 52-53. No worries cause Motherboards can handle such temperatures easily ...
