Default New Phenom X4 'Zosma' with turbo boost and chance to unlock 6 cores.

Well friends,AMD is about to release its new quads Phenom X4 codenamed "Zosma".They will be cut down versions of Phenom X6 Thuban.
The way they differ from their older cousins is that they have turbo boost technology,i.e their cores can be easily locked if not needed and get a performance boost at higher clock speeds. With the remaining four cores, two can function with increased clock-speeds in boost-state as Turbo cores (3/6 could on the X6 chip).
Since they will be downgraded Phenom X6 Thubans, there will be a chance to unlock the unlock them to hexa core x6.However this theory has not been confirmed for all processors.

The core unlocking is said to have been done on an AMD 890GX chipset based motherboard, in the same way disabled cores on Phenom II X3 and X2 chips are unlocked. One of the first models based on Zosma are the Phenom II X4 960T and X4 940T, which operate at 3.30 GHz and 3.00 GHz, respectively. Their Turbo Core speeds are up to 500 MHz over clock speeds, depending on the model. The X4 T-series could form AMD's mainstream processor in the sub-5000INR range.

So people like me who are waiting for a price fall for new rig will have to wait a little more as this new x4 is expected to be launched in second quarter of 2010.
Have fun and thanks for viewing my article.

    thats a great procy too.
but there a chance that phenom x4 zosma may not hit the market at all.because amd is already getting lots of profit from their existing x4 deneb,callisto,x3 heka and x6 thubans.
so obviously they dont want to be their own enemy.

    Thanks for reading my article.

I Think these Processor will be Priced inside Rs6000 to Rs7000 only because the New x6 core Processor cost only at Rs10,000 to 14,500...
Any way AMD make Processor at cheaper Price point compared to Intel..
    Nice Article Brother..

Note: Intel has there x6 Processor at the Price of Rs53,000..
lol i can make a AMD High Fi gaming in it with GTX470..

    @kartikoli
Try Unlocking the cores of your Phenom x2 555be..
Its a Black Edition too and try overclocking it too..
If you are using an Southbridge 710 or 750 or higher motherboard, get into bios and in cpu-configuration settings, set Advance clock calibration from Default to Auto and save and exit the BIOS and reboot the system and check with CPU-z for any core unlocked and try running some benchmarks and see is the CPU is stable when the core is unlocked..
Some got a Maximum clock speed upto 3.76ghz with core unlocked and its stable too..
The Model is changed to Phenom x4 B55 when the core is unlocked..

Thats too hot for the CPU in idle..
It should be inside 30c idle as my Athlon 5200+ oc at 3.1ghz stays inside at 35c max...
Try Reapplying the thermal paste and try enabling cool and quite mode in the bios and the smart Q fan too...
Running that hot in idle will reduce the CPU age down...

Brother the Athlon 555be is a 45nm chip, so it must run cooler than a 65nm chip ie Athlon 5200+
So i think its a bit hot than it use to be...
Correct me if i am wrong..
