    Post Suggest me an Motherboard

    Hi Friends..

I am looking for an Upgrade from my

    Amd Athlon 5200+ 2.70ghz
    Transcend 4gb 800mhz ddr2 ram
    Asus M2N68-AM mobo..

Am looking for an Coressfire motherboard or SLI ready mobo with 2 Pci-e slot ( 1 16x and 2nd x4 is enough )
I can spend about Rs6000 for the motherboard..
Expecting Model from MSI Gigabyte and Asus..

    Note:
If it has DDr2 support and my Athlon x2 5200+ i would be happy a lot, because then i donot want to spend some money on the Processor and Ram..

    Thanks a lot guys...

Actually am not looking for an xfire or an sli setup...

The main Reason is that i need Physx support for gaming...
now i own an HD3850, i can use this card as an Main gpu in the 1st slot and an Nvidia 9series card in the second slot for Physx processing..
So only i am looking for an xfire mobo..

I can buy an Nvidia GPU in the Rs6000 but i can find 9800gt in that price range only and its too old, and its not neat by my HD3850 compared to spec..

As am going for Physx right now, i should get a mobo with 2pcie slots for max physx support.. and After some months can replace my HD3850 to HD5670 or above for more performance..

the mobo you mention does not have an 2nd pcie slot brother...

dream on buddy, thats not gonna work !! You would have to use very old Nvidia drivers for that, and still get crappy performance.

learn to read the query yaar, the Gene is for Core i7 (LGA1366) and he has an AMD AM2+ processor, the Gene is some Rs16,000, think before you suggest.

At last i sold my Mobile, i got some cash to get an New Motherboard an Processor...
As i am not going to sell my 4gb ddr2 800mhz ram from my old config i would like to use it in the new configuration..
So here are the selected board and Processor that suites my Budget
    Mobtherboard Gigabyte
    Processor ATHLON x2 7750 or Athlon x2 250...

AS if go for Athlon x2 7750 it has an L3 cache memory of 3mb and it is aslo possible to unlock it as Quade core using the Southbridge 710...
Athlon x2 250 has only 2mb of L2cache and cannot be unlocked atall...

Both comes inside budget the mobo and processor

    @rajan
I can raise my budget to get an Athlon x2 250 itself but it has an L2cache of 2mb only, will it affect any performance or should i stick on with Athlon 5200+ itself..

I would suggest you go for phenom II x2 550 at 4350rs , a AMD580x Chip set based mother board should be enough but i am not sure if your local dealer would have stocks...

    Question Need suggestions

    Hi

Iam building up a new PC.
I have a nividia geforce 8600gt card, 600w smps and planning on using 2 hard drive 160gb and 320gb.
I use PC mainly for internet and some games. I need help on motherboard, memory, processor and monitor which support the above.
Would prefer DDR3 memory and Wifi so I can upgrade in future.
My budget would be moderate around 10,000 for board+processor and same for monitor.
    Hoping for good guides.

    thnx

U gotta say waht build are u looking for intel or AMD... in intel i guess a 13 530(Rs 5750) with a mebbe a cheap p55(Intel DP55WB Rs 5500) mother board would do.

    and on AMD side Phenom II X2 - 550 (3.1 GHz, AM3 4350) with M4A78LT-M LE(rs 4200) should do it supports DDR 3 Memory..but just one PCI x16 slot..

As for the monitor a benq 23" should do ...within ur budget...

and if u can raise Ur budget there is i5 750(9900 INR) or Phenom II X4 955 BE(7950 INR)

    Hope this helps!!!
