    Default Upgrading PC

1)I have 2GB DDR2 RAM , Monitor, 500GB HDD. (Hence no need to buy extra)

    2)I want a new Processor(Which 1 should i go for?)(Currently i am on P4)

3)Good gaming Graphics card(1 GB will do).

4)I want to change my mobo(which is 6yrs old and doesnt have PCI-E slots.)(Which one should i buy?).

Also suggest me extra stuff(Hardware) like coolant etcetc which i must buy to protect my PC.

Also tell me each of the above's average price.

I am guessing whole upgradation will cost around 20k?

    Default Config

There are at least 3 threads by Rajan suggesting different configuration low, mid and gaming PC configurations...which u cud have used!!!

yet i am going ahead and answering

    P4 , replace it with i3 530/i5750- 5800/10000
Mobo Intel DP55WB -5500(if you want to save) or
    ASUS p7-p55d-Rs10000(for performance)
    Graphics 1 gb ATI 4670/5670 -4450/6800
(Optional in case you are left with money buy)
    Cooler master PSU 500w -Rs4800

You dont need a coolant for this configuration.

I would suggest You go through the forum before creating any more new threads

    Hello,

I think you should go for AMD Athlon Processor (2400 Rs.) and Asus

Motherboard (2200 Rs.) because AMD is the best processor for gaming i don't

think Intel is the best for game Intel go hang after playing a very big game,

2GB hinex RAM (3000 Rs.), Graphics Card 1 gb ATI 4670/5670.

As per Graphic card, memory size is depends upon the monitor size you have..
If its a 20inch means a 512mb card itself a way much enough for you..
Let me give you my point of view spec for you..

    Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-MA785GM-US2H Rs:4500.
    Processor: Phenom II X4 925 2.8ghz Rs6600
    Graphic card: Radeon HD4770 512mb Gddr5 Rs 6300
Power Supply ( SMPS ): Zebronics 500w Platinum series Rs1850.

Total cost comes inside 20k as you mentioned..

If you want Rs2000 less in the cpu and have same Quad core performance and some higher clock speed get the Phenom II x2 550 3.1ghz cpu and Unlock the Hidden 2cores and the L3cache inside it and it will be a smart move for you and you can save some what like Rs1800 in it..
    Phenom II x2 3.1ghz Rs4550..

This Rig would be more enough for gaming and all the other uses..

20K? Then I suggest you lift the line a little bit higher.
