Just navigate to the picture that you want to use as a background and right click and select "Set as desktpo background...."
It's so simple....

there are many ways to change the backgroud wallpaper

go to the folder where picture lies and rightclick it and choose set a wallpaper.
else
rightclick on empty desktop->choose properties->choose desktop and click browse to locate the wallpaper.

just open the image which you want to keep as desktop background.
right click..select the option "set as desktop background"
there are other ways also ..but this is the simple way
