    Default Upgrade under 30k

I am planning to buy new PC at the end of this month.

Purpose : Video Encoding, Screen Recording, Moderate Gaming and rest basic...

    Already have :

    Benq 22' Full HD Monitor
    Samsung DVD RW
    Seagate 500 GB SATA HDD
    Logitech Wireless Mouse & keyboard
    Speakers
    UPS
Cabinet (Will buy CM Haf 922) (Not included under 30k)

Suggest me config which will last atleast for 2 yrs...

    What I decided :

Today, I called SMC and they told me the price as :

    Phenom IIX6 1055t- 10250
    MSI 890GXM- 7400
    G Skill 2*2GB 1333mhz-4900
    Corsair VX 550 PSU- 4800
    2*CM 120mm LED Silent Fan (RED)- 850

    Total : 28,200

I think the prices are HIGH as compared to Lynx Chandigarh....What do u think..??

Aslo,Suggest me any change in config.

    lol what wrong prices.....

    5670 1GB costs Rs6900 incl tax, I got one 10 days ago.
    5770 1GB costs Rs9800 incl of tax.

Prices do look a bit high, try TheITWares -TheITwares Ecommerce , many people complain that lynx-india takes a weeks before they ship products, so do keep that in mind.

So you have "spent" 30K without buying a graphics card?

What graphics card are you planning, you can go for Phenom 2 x4 955BE,should be enough for your purpose, and unless you are using a SLI/Crossfire(650W+) or Videocards above 15k(5850, 285 GTX, 5970(650w+), GTX 295(650-750W)) you don't need a Corsair Vx 550 PSU,Now that should save u some penny

you said you are buying a HAF 922, its an overkill again(HAF is for heavy duty gamers), Buy a gladiator should be enough.

Now having saved on this, you can buy a 5770 too with this. you can RIP any video with this setup!! and do some serious gaming(with 22''monitor not more!!!)

    ^^ If I were him, I would not buy a HD 5770.

I would go for a Nvidia GTX 460 768MB version for Rs10800, which is far far better than the5770, its even faster than the 5830 by a mile. For a GTX 460, the VX 550 will be a good combo.

The HAF 922 is a good case,I own one, if he likes it, there is no reason not to buy one

GTX 460 is way better than 5770,But 11700 is the price i could find for 768MB version and 1GB version comes for 13800.(ritchie street).

Another thing was Fermi series except for GTX 470 was not n stock

And regards, PSU and Cabinet, i was suggesting the bare minimum needed, Its always good to have better stuff...
