your cpu is fine for now,no point getting an i3,will cost 6k+new mobo +new ram, which will eat up most of your 21k.

What are your requirements?where are you from?

Differences between Dual Core, Core 2 Duo, Core i3 and Core i5-6xx - CPUs - CPU-Components.

May be you have to change the mother board too!
    check with your computer dealer.

And 'embedded' chip is usually hard wired to the motherboard and therefore can not be easily replaced.
In other words its on the board like a chipset, soldered in.

you HAVE TO change the motherboard if u want an i3. The i3 530 is a dual core chip,Rs5000. You could get a decent Gigabyte H55 motherboard to go with it,another Rs5500. Now you need DDR3 memory, get 4GB DDR3 1333MHz for Rs4100.

Get an ATI HD 5670 1GB card for Rs6500,FSP Saga II 350W PSU for Rs1600 and a coolermaster elite 430 cabinet for Rs2800. all at about 25k. Sell your current system, will easily get you Rs5k.

What do you mean by i3 is a dual core chip?
If i3 is a dual core chip then what chip is used by Core 2 Duo and i7?

i3 530 is a dual core processor with HT,it has 2 cores. your core 2 duo is also a dual core chip. The core i7 is a quad core chip with HT.

    HT- Hyperthreading

The core i3 will be much faster than the E7200,but i dont see why you need it,that is why i said you could either get a quad core phenom or just stay with your current processor.

Gigabyte boards have great quality and service, i have been using one for the past 2 years,Intel boards are generally a bit more expensive,so your call.

This graphics card is good enough for you to play most games at good settings at medium resolution. The cabinet company is cooler master, its a pretty good cabby.

    What does this mean?
Core i3 is much Faster na,then why don't you see any need of it?
Quad Core Processor is much faster than Core 2 Duo!Stay with current processor?but your post is confusing!
One side you say that Don't go for Intel Core i7,other you say that get a Quad Core? Why Quad Core Instead Of i3,as Quad core is more faster than Core 2 Duo na?
    And I Want High resolution.

    http://www.buzzle.com/articles/intel...core-2duo.html
    Extract from above.Read full article.
Hope the core i3 vs core 2 duo processor comparison provided in this article has made it easier for you to choose the right processor for your personal desktop computer or laptop computer. Going for a more advanced line of processors is always beneficial in the long run. You should also check out the Intel core i5 and core i7 processors before going ahead as they offer far more computing power and speed, compared to the entry level core i3 or core 2 duo. Decide on the processor you want according to your usage requirements and of course giving due thought to your vitamin 'M' levels!

I think there is no need for upgrading your Processor as core 2 duo is a powerful processor and it can surely run today's huge games and i3 processors are just a bit faster than core 2 duos , not a huge difference as custom core 2 duo gets 2.8 Ghz and 13 gets 2.8 too, but i3 gets a fair advantage because of it's new design and it can be over clocked to 3.2 Ghz! Surely core 2 duo can handle any game now a days, what you have to do is save money for next intel's update But if you are looking for a gaming paradise change to i5 or i7 or the AMD Phenom ! What you must really care about in a gaming PC is Graphic card and RAM Hd 5670 is good or you can buy Nvidia 9800GT 1 Gb version.
    And
Are these pRICES aLL Over India-Same?
I don't think so! Cuz in my locality one store sells sandisk 8Gb pen drive for 450 rupees and the store which is 2 blocks away sell the same thing for 650 rupees 25% increase,Make sure you find the right store. You can spent the money you plan to spent on motherboard on a new RAM & GPU(Only if you are looking for a gaming PC.)
About processors: I'm sure Intel will launch some thing new in 2 years, make sure you get your hands on it ... Then you will get nice things like USB 3.0 , DDR4 ports and so on... Think about that
For just now, over clock your CPU
This site would be a great help for you, make sure you read all.
