    Default MSI 890gxm-G65 bios update ??

    --> Current Version : 1.6 --- (Working fine)

    --> Ver 1.7 is available on MSI site.


    Is it advisable to update the bios...any performance boost ?

    nop,only if you face any issues its advised to update BIOS, you will not get any performance upgrade,why dont you try overclocking? Whats your full system spec?

    I enabled "OC Genie".....getting 3.47ghz.
    What else should I do ?

    System Specs :

    1) MSI 890 GXM G65
    2) Phenom II X6 1055T
    3) Gskill Ripjaws 1600mhz CL7 ddr3 4gb kit
    4) Corsair VX 550W
    5) CM HAF 922 (2*200mm + 4*120mm + 2*80mm)
    6) Samsung DVD-RW
    7) 2*SATA HDD (500 + 320)

    No G.card...will buy after 6xxx series card comes into market...

    google for some good overclocking guides for AMD systems, I have only used Intel ones, so cant really help you...
