Amazing value! I paid a lot more for my D-Link N router a couple of years back!

It looks like it has two USB features. One is that it will act as a network print server, which could be very useful, and the other is, that with a USB HDD attached, it will act as an ftp server. Not so sure about how useful this is!

All in all, though, it looks like a nice box.

If you intend to have above BB connection ( Wimax Ev-Do data card Tata photon etc )
( not via telephone line ) above WIFI router may not be needed,.

3.Confirm, if any, the broadband service you have now, and the ISP.

Give details of the the present BSNL/own adsl modem/router in use.
ASUS model needs external adsl modem additionally.
The link you had posted in Post 1 gives full details.

Beetel220BX and Beetel110TCI . In TCI model USB port is missing.
    Else both are identical.
Depending on your budget you can buy a wifi router such as
    Netgear WGR614V9
(Price Rs 1500 approx )and use it along with either ADSl modem above.
    or
    2. Rental at Rs 80/PM wifi models from BSNL. ( outright cost Rs 1800/=+ taxes)

Security deposit will be Rs 1000/= No monthly rent.

Just ask BSNL you need a wifi modem. They will give you the correct one.

    There are 3 types :-

    1) ADSL WiFi-2 --- >
    2) ADSL-WiFi-TA
    3) VDSL WiFi

--> Using modems with Terminal Adapter (TA), customers will be able to make voice calls through BSNL server. BSNL is planning to launch this service shortly : Voice Calls free or its just like Skype ??

--> VDSL (Very high Speed Digital Subscriber line) modems are used for accessing very high speed Broadband of 16 Mbps and above. Upto a distance of 1 Km VDSL modem can be used : Can I use 16mbps plan speed on Beetel 220bx adsl2 modem ??

-->Above 3 models are : Router or modem cum router ?
