Question Need Help Buying new Desktop

    Hi,

    Looking for Gaming PC.

I need your expert opinion. I am buying new pc in 2 days. Here is what I am ordering.

    Processor
    Asus Phenom II X6 1090T (3.0GHz)

    Motherboard
    Asus M4A88TM

    DDR-3 RAM 2GB (Kingston)

    Hard Disk 1TB (SATA)

    LG DVD Writer

    Cabinet Intex with SMPS 400wats

I am not getting the Graphics card as the processor is high ending and should be enough to run the games.

    Total:- 35,000

SO here are some question on my mind.

    1) Will I able to run all the games till GTA 4 on max setting or not?

    2) I am already having Monitor of LG (Studioworks) 15", so will that be compatible with this configuration?

    3) As I was trying for Gigabyte motherboard but it seems not available in Pune, so I am going with the motherboard I have mentioned above, SO is it good or not?

Or if i will have to go with some other motherboard which one should I go for?

    4) Any other Suggestions?

Don't want to exceed the budget.

Please reply me guys as I am getting it in 2 days, Need your quick but great help.

    Thank you.

bad idea, your PC has no balance. In games, its the graphics card that matters most. I think you should just get an Athlon quad and a decent midrange card. Using the PSU with the cabinet it not the best idea as they are of rather cheap quality, i suggest that you go for a HD 5670 and an FSP Saga II 350W PSU.

First of all thank you very much for your quick reply,

And what I think about graphics card is, Heaviest game for PC like GTA 4 uses only 4 cores however I am getting 6 cores processor. GTA 4 uses more CPU memory rather than GPU. So what I think this should fullfill the requirment of the graphics card for the game.
About SMPS, what do you think how does it matters that which SMPS or cabinet I am going for because in the end all of the SMPS provides 400 wats.

Please reply to it as this is just my opinion what do you think about it?

Also, Please reply for the rest of the questions I have menitioned in the Thread earlier, What about the monitor and all?

if you are not a gamer, avoid the card but i still agree with rajan.
as your post says, if you want a gaming pc, you need good gpu.your cpu can't cope with your graphics needs, however fast it is.

and change your psu if you buy a graphics card.those cheap ones are not reliable.they say 400W coz thats the max power they can give.they never can run at 400W throughout.will burn if they do.

    change lg dvdrw.
lg oem packs are unreliable.make it hp/samsung.price difference of 0.2k only.

so let me confirm, you need a gaming PC, for around Rs35,000 , without monitor? you will use your current Monitor and upgrade in the near future (as a 15" is so so small lol)

so anyways, this is probably the best rig you can get for the money:

    AMD Phenom II x4 945 @ 6.8k
    Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H @ 4.5k
    Corsair 2 * 2GB DDR3 1333MHz @ 3.6k
    Sapphire HD6850 1GB@ 11.5k
    Seagate 500GB 7200.12 @ 1.8k
    LG 22X SATA DVD @ 0.9k
    Seasonic S12II 520W @ 4k
    NZXT GAMMA @ 2k
    Logitech K & M combo @ 0.7k

    total - Rs 35500

    source

We have overshot by Rs500,not a big deal IMO. The rig is actually meant to game at much higher resolutions, something like 1920x1080,so it will do well even if you upgrade to a newer monitor in the near future.

With this rig, on your current monitor, you can play every game possible at the absolute highest settings with ease.

    @Suvo
Yes thats what even I did. The computer guy said its one the most selling Item also offers good features in low range. By the way will a drop a message by 2maro at the time getting delivery.

    @Rajan1311
    Hi Dude,
Almost ordered the same as I mentioned in the threat except the G.C. Took the one you suggested me, ATI Radeon HD 5670 & PSU of Seasonic S12II 520W. Budget crossed a bit, but its ok in the end getting great combination and thats what I am looking for.
I hope this should be enough for games atleast 1 year down the line. You didnt give me your number will be dropping message sometimes.:-D
