Hi,
I'm a complete newbie to the HTPC concept. I came across this HTPC concept today accidentally. I know this is all about building a home theater using a PC.
Right now, all i have is a 2.1 channel speaker (pretty boring).
Well, how can i make it better?(buy more speakers?) all i would do with it watch some good movie with some good sound (you know, sounds from back, from sides etc).
Fortunately i found out my PC is kind of close to supporting a home theatre ( well i think so). This is what the mother board spec says.
- Realtek ALC889 codec
- High Definition Audio
- 2/4/5.1/7.1-channel
- Support for Dolby® Home Theater
- Support for S/PDIF In/Out
- Support for CD In
Please let me know how i can make it better (alteast make use of what i have). Although I don't want to invest huge money in it. i want to watch a movie with some good sound ( for awesome sound i think i need to shell out a lot of money so "good" would suffice).
Please let me know.
~Cheers
