Thread: More than 72 hours online on desk. safe??

I had left the pc running for more than 72 hours and the mobile was just on continous ping.. is it safe for the pc's overall health(hardware and os) and because its situated near the window (summer arrived).. both the pc and mobile were continously running in the period..

which is more expensive of the above two ? mobile or pc ?
I think pc is sturdy . Mobile's life may be reduced?
Iam running max 8-10 hrs 3G wifi net theo mobile and working in the note book. Not good for Nexus-S phone!

PC can run for days if used with proper airflow

My PC is on continuously for week even w/o a restart.
I seed much hence its on, If you maintain proper ventilation noting is going to happen to your hardware. I have side panel of my pc case removed, If it cannot be done you can attach an extra fan at the back of the case (some grill sorta structure is provided for an extra fan). I never had any issues till date, probably even you should not.
Well attach a fan to modem also if you intend to keep you r pc on for downloading purposes.

i had kept my PC on for weeks...had no real issues, just that the bills were pretty bad...

monitor off my pc uses way less than 70-90W of power, so bills aren't going to be that bad unless you have a graphic card running on.
if i keep it on 24 hrs for even 15-20 days it will be 150-250 rs.

super-seeding continuously for 1 week now,no tension other than the electric bill
