i prefer ati and m using 5670 costing 5400/- but if u want better one than opt for 5770 ... within your budget and moreover u should have a good psu dont use that ordinary one .... use like Xigmatek,Fsp,Cooler Master, etc
    Happy Shopping.

p.s. ATI is made for AMD (AFAIK)

Which resolution are you going to play the games on?
You don't need such a powerful card to play games on low-mid settings
If you are using a LCD larger that 25" then you should go for expensive cards like gts 450,
    Otherwise stick to low-end cards.
btw HD 5770 is a more powerful card than gts 450,it would cost you about 7k to 8k

it is Watt (W) and not Volt Ampere (VA)

Anyways, GTS 450 aint a great option, I would get a HD 5770 for 7k or a HD 6790 whenever it comes, should be around Rs8k or less.

Also, ATI is a part of AMD, now, HD 6000 series onwards, even the ATI brand is removed, it is the AMD Radeon HD 6000 and not ATI.

    WHAT IS POWER FACTOR (PF)?
PF by definition is the ratio of real to apparent power:

    PF=W / VA

People are often looking for a calculator to convert volt-amps (VA) to watts. Well, you need to know the value of PF to do the calculation: W=VA×PF, where PF is in decimal. Likewise, you can convert watt to VA power by using this formula: VA=W/PF.

Unfortunately, PF value is practically never stated in appliance's spec sheet. Old computers used to have PF=0.6-0.65. Modern computers normally have an SMPS power supply with PFC that assures near unity PF.

The motor-driven appliances (such as refrigerators and air
conditioners) typically have PF=0.6-0.8. If you don't know the PF of your device, assume the worse case of 0.6.

Regarding driver issue of NVidia,I recently purchased NVidia 8400GS graphic card and driver installation gave me a lot of trouble on Win7 Ultimate 64bit.As a last resort,I had to install driver in safe mode. But the card is good.

@ 4x AA and 1080p you will get the fps down quickly on games such as Crysis
if you could raise your budget by a bit 6850 is a good choice range is 9-10K. Even better is 6870(it will give you robust fps at even 4x AA and 1080p but its at the 12k mark).
