    In my opinion don't buy pc for gaming, coz you have you keep upgrading your pc in few years over and over again
    buy xbox360 it's 13k now it's the best

    btw HD5770 has better performance than HD5670 here is the comparison:-www dot hwcompare.com/107/radeon-hd-5670-vs-radeon-hd-5770/

    I was able to play all games in mid-high settings in 1080p and I got 55 to 80 FPS

    if your requirement is gaming then its a nono...

    Spending a bit less on CPU and more on GPU would be a better choice...what monitor you got?

    @akashag
    Sorry dude, my budget is low. The cost what you kept is high for me. Sorry and Thanks for the offer by the way.
    @rajan
    Hey Rajan,
    1. I bought Samsung 2494HS. Nice one.

    2. Yeah, but what I was thinking is I should get him the fastest processor. And cost diffrence in X4 and X6 is 1.5k here in pune. What do you think? What to do?

    @All
    Also, suggest me some good GSU.
    I have heard that ATI RADEON is updated, however when it comes to performance nvidia geforce is unbeatable. Please let me know which graphics card should I buy?
    Also, I've heard this too that HD 57**(IDK the last two digits...Sorry.) is much better than 5670. So???

    What to do please reply...

    No problem buddy btw what is your budget for GPU (not GSU),
    Only then anyone would be able to suggest you any graphics card.

    And Nvidia and ATI are both the top companies who produce GPU's,
    Buy a GPU from any of these companies and you would get a product which would be well worth of your money.

    See post number #6 and you will get the difference between HD 5770 and HD 5670

    Default plz help with i7 config

    hi i am living at chennai and need help with following

    Reason for upgrading
    :Heavy Gaming,PS2 emulation,recording(FRAPS+game)

    pc will be on overclocked condition(3.6-4 GHZ) 24/7 will be used for gaming 2-6 hours depending on holiday/college

    parts that I already have

    graphics card - 460 GTX (1GB)

    HDD - 500 GB

    parts I need help on for purchasing

    processor - core i7 decided (920 or better and cheaper?)

    motherboard - X58 or cheaper and better?

    RAM
    - DDR3(2 or 4 or 6 or 8 GB?) and frequency(800 or1333 or 1600Mhz?)

    SMPS - cooler master 600W (i am guessing i need more power )

    extra cooling needed - no idea about this (i got air conditioner in my room but it can get pretty hot some days and cannot be on 24/7 like the pc) i prefer using stock cooler with overclock(no change/very little in voltage upto 4 Ghz or less)

    i would like know how much it will cost for purchasing

    also do i really need over clocking or turbo boost+hyper threading @ stock speed will satisfy all my needs stated above

    thx in advance for ur help

    core i7 920 & X58 combination is outdated.get an i5 2500K+Z68mobo if you want the latest.
    Intel Core i5 2500k---11200
    MSI Z68A GD55 B3---9800

    or

    Intel Core i5 2400 ---9650
    Gigabyte GA-H67M-D2-B3---5250

    RAM Gskill Ripjaws X F3-12800CL9S-4GBXL---1650
    PSU Corsair GS600---4000

    with i5 2500k you need a z68 or p67 mobo for overclocking.cpu overclocking doesnt effect games much.gpu matters.

    frankly speaking overclocking is not needed for latest core i5/i7 processors.models with K at end like i5 2500k support overclocking by coming with unlocked multiplier just like amd black edition processors.your reason for upgrading depends heavily on the graphics card & stock coolers are also not recommended if you are planning on running overclocked i5/i7 24x7.

    P.S.just for your information 800,1333,1600 are not the frequency in MHz at which ram runs but the MT rate.

    thx a lot i guess pc games do need gfx card update in my case SLI config should do some good i alrdy own a 460 gtx so one more should do good

    as for emulating ps 2 games i will be needing 3-4 Ghz processor so i might as well make it future proof upgrade

    i should still be able to overclock at stock cooler but not much maybe from default 3.2Ghz to 3.6Ghz as long as i dont mess with the cpu vcore voltages i should be ok

    i will be purchasing i5 2500k with z68 mobo and 4GB x 2 ram sticks and 800W corsair PSU(hope 800w will support SLI and OC)

    later i will be buying SSD 120 gb or higher along with external water tube cooler along with SLI 460gtx

    thx for redirecting me to i5 2500k it has higher default clock speed than i7 920
