Wink Upgrading existing desktop for sake Dual monitor( no gaming)

    Current Pc config:
    C2D E 4500
    2GB DDR2 RAM ( 1 slot is still open)
    Motherboard: Gigabyte: GA-GA31M-S2L
    22" LCD Monitor
    OS: win7 ultimate sp1 32 bit.

1.Thinking of buying Radeon 5450 1GB DDR3 with Dual DVI (for dual monitor) around Rs 2000
    http://www.theitbazaar.com/store/our...category_id=42
    ( original idea : Nvidia 8400GS 512 mb DDR2 @ Rs 1600 with dual capable DVI)
    http://www.theitbazaar.com/store/our...category_id=42

I want to know whether I go with DDR3 Ram (cheaper 4 GB @ rs 1300) instead of extra 2 GB ddr2 Ram which costs Rs 1200 or so.)

    To make 4 GB Ram work(eiether DDr2 or DDr3), upgrading win7 32 bit to 64 bit .
Also want to know Graphic card with DDr3 Ram will not clash with motherboard DDR2 RAM .

    A.buy extra 2 GB DDR2 ram+ Nvidia 8400 GS 512mb DDR2 graphic card
    B.buy 4 GB DDR3 Ram + Radeon 1 GB DDR3 Ram 5450 graphic card
    C.buy extra 2 GB DDR2 ram + Radeon 1 GB ddr3 graphic card

Need to buy an additional 22" LCD monitor (6500) or Led @ 7500/8000.
    My pc Horoscope enclosed!

pics are shrunk too much so useless for any details.your mobo supports only ddr2 ram so no ddr3 option for you.graphics card ram is only for graphics card & does not affect system ram.Radeon 5450 is much faster than 8400GS.option C is best for you.

Thanks for clarifying my doubts. Option C it is then!

Since my motherboard G31M-S2L does not support DDr3 Ram ,I will go with 1 stick 2 GB DDR2 Ram and radeon 5450 DDR3 1GB GPU since I was not aware motherboard Ram and GPU Ram are independent.
