    Default Whats your computers configuration?

What is your computers configuration and which brand is it... It would be great if you could also post about how much you paid for your machine

Here are the details of mine :

    Brand : Advent
    Model : Advent T8

    Intel Pentium D 820 processor
    1GB of DDR2 PC4200 memory
256MB ATI Radeon X700Pro graphics card
    2X 200GB hard disks SATA
    DVD+/-RW +/-DL
    DVD-ROM
    Wireless LAN PCI card
    TV tuner
    17" LCD screen

It came with windows XP home media centre edition with remote control and all that which I have never used

I bought it in UK about 4 years ago (and shipped it to India)

This machine cost me £1000 which is about Indian Rupees 85000.

I guess this config must be now available at Rs20-30K now here in India... this one was one of the latest processors back then

I am not too much of a hardware person so please advise me is this too outdated? or can I just put in some RAM and keep it for another year or so

The only problem this computer has is that it roars like a beast when I start it up and it does make more noise then a pc should.

My PC used to make a lot of noise as well and then one day I opened it up and cleaned the dust using a vaccum cleaner and since then its a bit quiter.

@ sb21pro, I just mentioned additional costs. I think my problem is with the computer case cause when i hold it the noise decreases.
