Alright .. it is time for me to go in for DTH. Nough of local cablewala...
I am from Pune.

But i dont know anything about especially different plans/installation charges/quality/after sales etc ....

So can you guys please help me to make decision about select DTH service provider ....in pune(is it city specific by any chance..?)

primary goal is low initial cost and low running cost w/o affecting quality.

Please share your exepriences .. good/bad ...

My suggestion:

1. Good CS, Slightly better quality, Good STB UI but costly: Tata Sky
2. 1 notch below all of the above but much cheaper: Dish TV

DishTV Platinum pack costs Rs. 275+tax which is Rs. 309/- . To get same all channels on TS plus 2/3 more, it will cost Rs. 380/-.

For new connections, I recommend TataSky but not that DishTV is bad.

Check with local dealers. My dealer is Maxint (prop. Mr. Pataskar), Near Congress Bhavan, Opp. Savarkar Bhavan/Bajaj Auto Showroom, Pune - 411005. Phone: (20) 25533780 or 9371008497. It is a small shop and you could easily miss it.

You can also consider the sundirect,if they available in your area.
i have installed it.
its cost efficient and looks good package.
they give latest technology also.

i support the view of just4kix about the bigtv.
their customer care is a damn ****.
there initial packages are really a trap, nothing else.
my friend bought it,At first month, he enjoyed after that most of the channel was not available.if you inquiry about it, they wont respond properly.

if you have a visit to bigtv.co.in , notice the conditions under the each channel list offered. there is a tricky work as " 20 channels free for one month"
