Thread: help me to choose the DTH service

Hi guys

am planning to buya DTH service , after visiting the websites of all the service providers , i was biased towards Dish TV

but one of my friend told me in rainy days the signal reception of the dish TV is very poor , and if the atmosphere is cloudy the picure quality is bad

so u guys please giv valuable suggestions

Dish TV can give you problems during heavy rains and cloudy days but this is not the case with TATA Sky, I am using Tata Sky from last one year and never found this problem. It works good during heavy rains and cloudy weather too.

Service is good and customer care is well aware of process with polite n helpful tone

I am a DishTv user and i have had no complaints at all .
The only issue you are likely to face is that volume is not consistent across channels ,which for me is a very minor issue .
I did not see any difference in Picture quality during rains

I too did a lot of research before selecting DishTv mainly because they offer better package combination and more number of English Channels at a cheaper price .

From what i have seen both DishTv and Tata Sky have almost equal no of complainants ,so according to me there is not a lot of difference between them ...tata sky is better at marketing their product ,thats about all the difference i saw

Tata Sky is made up of 2 brand names Tata and Sky, I am just over reacting on name but yes i like it

Even i can not see any problems with Tata Sky in 1 year got no downtime at all

In Delhi, the rain interruption may not be there but in Pune during heavy rains ALL DTH transmissions suffer from rain outage. This is because in India they use the KU band for transmission.

and DishTV was the first DTH operator in India = more experience

and TATA Sky strangely does not offer Metro Goldwyn Meyer (MGM) ,TVS/5 Monde and Warner Bros (WB)

Dishtv leads the race in introducing international channels in India

actually my preference is like , i need all the malayalam channels and english movie channels and all sports channels

but in tata sky the regional channels are limited........

In that case, I recommend you DishTV or Sun DTH.
