Thread: Second thoughts about tata sky...

Had made up my mind about getting tata sky, for one tv and my computer, but things like this Orange Hues: A Conspiracy Called Tata Sky have made me reconsider it...
and the part that its costlier compared to all others(??) and those addon packages which have either one or two channels you want but come with other useless channels and at a high price.

I'm looking at Big tv but being reliance and having the experience of dealing with their practically non existent cc i'm a bit hesitant. Though they have all the channels at 275/month (including all addons that i want, apparently the diamond pack).
Read various reports that it suffers from less compression artifacts on LCDs, hence it will look better on my comp.

Airtel is again costlier and they are apparently worse with rain outages compared to others.

Then i look upon videocon but its still in its initial stages...

What to do?? All this is just so confusing...Please help out with your opinions.

EDIT: If i order tata sky with the 1599 offer http://www.tatasky.com/directSalesHome.do, will i be unable to subscribe to the addon packages with the start of the service and just be limited to the super saver for the 3 months?? Cause i desperately need to have espn and star sports... and at least 1 other addon.

update: going through the bigtv forum here solved my problems. i can pay a bit extra for some peace of mind. tata sky it is .
