Rep Power: 2  |  Which is good Tata Sky or Dish TV? I am planning to switch to DTH from the normal cable TV. I want to hear from the fellow India Broadband Forum members on this. I am planning to buy either tata sky or dish tv (do i have any other choices?). Among this which is good and better and cheaper. I heard that Tata sky is slightly better than dish tv, is this true or am I wrong? |

Rep Power: 2 | Well Tata Sky is better in terms of services they offer but keep in mind that there customer care support is really bad and from only this reason i wouldn't recommend you this. Otherwise they provide great product at real cheap prices. |

Rep Power: 2 | Among those two.. my suggestionis to opt for tatasky. As said in previous post, the tech support is at its worst. Added advantage is that the wide choice of packages to choose from. Like.. western, regional for as low as rs200/month. Thay charge on daily basis. When you recharge your account, they show up the balance and daily rental 'll be deducted from that. So there is no problem of validity or grace time... |

Rep Power: 12 | Tata is just the name and investor in tata sky, its Sky whose technology and knowhow is being used in India and sky from my experience in UK is the best DTH platform  Even the remote control unit and the STB is exactly the same as you would see in UK and other European countries. I absolutely hate dishtv's remote control and menu, may be I am too used to sky now to like anything else. All in all tata sky is better in my opinion as compared to dish tv. Is there anyone here who has used both for an extended period of time like more then a few weeks? would love to hear from those who have |

Rep Power: 2 | I would say that Dish TV is a better as compared to TATA Sky and this is because i had been using Dish TV for last 7 months at my present home and i never faced a problem and one of mine friend installed TATA sky and he is alreayd fe up with it. |

Rep Power: 2 | It would be tough to say but I prefer Tata Sky Because it has some special features like interactive ness and more channels and movies and the sound quality .In my city I will never prefer Dish Tv because I will not get the channels I want |

| Platinum Member  | TataSky or DishTV I have DishTV - my father-in-law has TataSky. Both are more or less of the same class - TataSky is a shade better in terms of CPE (Customer Premise Equipment); their set top box and its user interface is much better. Rates wise also they are more or less same - DishTV is a little cheaper. Customer service is OK at DishTV - I cannot confirm for TataSky. Installation, etc. is handled by local distributor; the guys who come and install are not employees of either channel - so do not let anyone mislead you that either DishTV or TataSky is better in that respect. So my opinion is that you may not go wrong with either - go for one who is giving better service and discounts in your town/area. If all other things are same, TataSky will be better option.

Rep Power: 2 | I would like to recommend Dish Tv as it has better customer service and also it has many good channels. I had been using this one for some time now and i had never faced any problem with it till now. |
