Default Cheapest DTH service with most channels

I am currently paying Rs400 a month for my Tata Sky DTH services, which consists of the Indian entertainment channels, English entertainment and movies, music channels and news channels. I think that Tata sky provides the best service and I would not really change to another DTH provider, but are there other DTH services which provide a majority of channels (movies, entertainement and news (english and hindi)) for a cheaper price than Rs400?

Well I have got an answer from another thread, and so it seems that Videocon provides a large number of channels (do not know the exact number) for an afforable amount. Videocon also have 21 different HD channels whereas Tata Sky only provide about 12. But like mentioned in my first post I dont think I would ever change from Tata Sky, simply because I love their user interface whether its because its a DTH I have used from thr start or because its user friendly I dont know, but I think that they have the best user interface.

My annual contract with Tatasky ends in December. Till then I am still with them. In December, i shall review the situation.

If December was today, I would move to videocon with no hesitation.

I think I have had enough of Tata sky as well. I am yet to check Videocon's HD channel list and if I like it I am going to make a call first thing in the morning

I am trying to find out if any friend/acquaintance has service from Videocon. So far, I have not managed to find it. I am quite satisfied with the picture quality from TataSky. Being a little laggard in introducing HD channels was also OK with me. But I have been with them for two years and in these two years they just added three HD channels - Sony HD, Zee TV HD and M-Tunes HD. This is just too laggard in my opinion. I would really like to see Movies HD, Z-Cafe HD, Zee Movies HD, some news channel in HD, etc. I have even called their CC but I always get "standard" replies.

I heard that Dish TV is not so bad either, I dont know about their channel listings or their HD channels but I think that is another DTH provider has a reasonable price for a good number of channels.

I've been with Dish TV since 3 years. Mostly because of the wide choice for regional languages (my choice), and English entertainment. (Thats where Sun DTH fails) When it comes to services or products we usually go to the giant. Companies which specilaize, say Seagate and WDD are good at hardisks and they are the best. When it comes to DTH services in Inda, Dish TV was the first one and presently the biggest one. So far I havent faced any glitches....still movin on. I would not recommend Videocon considering the highs and lows of the company. They dont have a proper market yet....

I'm not promoting Dish TV, but they have all those.

I think thats why I really feel good about changing over to Videocon, however Dish TV can be given a thought, the only low point is the sound quality, its something I would have to recheck because where I saw Dish TV being shown their TV and speaker system was not so good, which is why I thought Dish TV sound quality is not good. I would also have to compare the channel listings.
